recreate the story. Even Gregg Hale who created the "Blair
Witch Project" pays homage to this forerunning film by stating
              - "If we had seen Cannibal Holocaust before we shot Blair,
we probably wouldn't have - We'd have been like, "awww, it's
been done". But Ed and I are convinced. The cadaver, the girl
on the pole, we're convinced that's real. There's no way that body
is fake!" Well I hate to burst your illusion Greg and Ed but
the impaled girl on the pole is fake-the actress, who was actually
one of the script supervisors, is skillfully sitting on a small
bike seat (I'd buy that seat if it ever appeared on eBay! Ha!) and
the wooden pole coming out of her mouth is made of ultra light balsa
wood! But I must say this is one of the most shocking publicity
pictures of all time! This "Killing Time Klock" features
the impaled cannibal gal and the stars of the film filming the horrific
sight for their documentary! Above them is the movie logo
along with the dierectors name! It's a well-known fact that
the movie poster claims that this film has been banned in 34 countries.
So I pay a tribute to this clever marketing hype by adding the "BANNED
in 34 Counties" movie warning on the outside of the clear klock
face-it gives the whole horrific klock a killer 3/D effect! Now
let me draw you attention to the kustom klock hands-the hour hand
is a 16mm film camera - just like the ones the characters were using
before they got consumed! The minute hand resembles a blood stained
strip of film with some jungle foliage wrapped around it, and in
the very center of the second hand is a film reel that revolves
around 24 hours a day! Yes all of this imagery ties in perfectly
with the films plot, if you haven't seen this movie yet, go out
and see it now, you won't be disappointed! |
